More than 50 years of IT
We've been here since before the internet
PROSA was founded in 1967 by some of Denmark's first IT professionals. Back then, computers filled entire rooms, programs were loaded using punch cards, and few could imagine a world where technology would become part of almost everything we do.
Since then, we've followed the development of technology closely. Not as bystanders, but as an active part of it. For more than 50 years, PROSA has worked to improve pay and working conditions, strengthen the IT profession, and promote a digital society where technology creates value for people.
Today, we represent IT professionals from across the industry. Our members work in software development, cybersecurity, data, infrastructure, UX, multimedia design, IT support, and digital development. We support our members with legal advice, career guidance, professional development, and a strong community that helps both individuals and the profession thrive.
But PROSA is about more than working life. We advocate for the responsible use of AI, digital security, digital literacy, open source, privacy, and a digital society where people have a real say in the technologies that shape their everyday lives.
