Local branches in PROSA
As a PROSA member, you belong to a local branch that represents the interests of its members within the wider PROSA community. Local branches address issues that are particularly relevant to their members and may also establish specialist networks and activities.
Your local branch is determined by the location of your workplace, whether you work in the private or public sector, or whether you are a student.
All members are eligible to stand for election to their local branch's Executive Board at the annual general meeting.
PROSA/Public Sector
PROSA/Public Sector is the local branch for members employed in the public sector, including central government, regional authorities, and municipalities, as well as unemployed members whose most recent employment was in the public sector.
PROSA/Public Sector is party to the collective agreement covering central government employees, where bargaining responsibilities are shared with HK. The branch is also a member of the Central Organisation of 2010 (CO10), the negotiating organisation for central government employees.
The branch organises events covering the central government collective agreement and other topics relevant to public sector employees.
The Executive Board, elected at the annual general meeting, meets as needed and decides its own ways of working to ensure all members have an equal opportunity to participate. Most meetings are held online.
Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting is the highest decision making body of PROSA/Public Sector. The ordinary meeting is held in October or November each year.
All members with a registered email address receive a notice of the meeting three weeks in advance.

PROSA/SAX
PROSA/SAX is the local branch for members employed by SAS and DXC.
The branch was formed through the merger of PROSA/SAS and PROSA/DXC and works to secure the best possible working conditions for members at both companies. PROSA/SAX is committed to being a visible and active trade union that represents the interests of its members.
PROSA/DXC was previously known as PROSA/CSC, and before that PROSA/DC, with its roots in Datacentralen. In 1968, operators and programmers at Datacentralen each established their own associations. The programmers joined PROSA, followed by the operators a few years later.
PROSA/SAS was founded by systems analysts and programmers at SAS. As early as 1965, they established a professional club for IT professionals because they did not feel represented by the trade unions that had collective agreements with SAS. This initiative became the foundation of the national trade union PROSA.
The Executive Board meets once a month, with additional member meetings held when needed. Board meetings are attended by Executive Board members and, where relevant, invited guests or speakers.

PROSA/Stud
PROSA/STUD is the local branch for IT students and your opportunity to get involved in IT policy, student issues, and professional development. It's easy to take part, and you can focus on the topics that interest you most.
The Executive Board works on campaigns covering IT policy issues such as surveillance and automation, as well as student welfare and diversity. We campaign against cuts to the State Educational Grant (SU) and for more teaching hours on IT degree programmes. We actively work to improve the student experience and represent the interests of IT students.
What the Executive Board works for:
More activities at educational institutions. Student associations can apply for financial support through our local funding scheme.
A better study environment, including better mental wellbeing. We are currently developing a campaign focused on improving students' mental wellbeing.
Stronger professional development through networking and knowledge sharing. Every year we organise the free STUD Conference, bringing IT students together around professional and technical topics.
Stronger communities and more opportunities to build new skills. Our organisers arrange social events, talks, and workshops at educational institutions across Denmark.
The Executive Board meets six to ten times each year, depending on its priorities and activities. You're welcome to join the Board at any time. Feel free to contact us if you'd like to learn more, or simply come along to a meeting before deciding whether to stand for election.

Executive Board members are elected at the Annual General Meeting, which takes place during the annual STUD Conference. New Board members are welcome throughout the year, so don't hesitate to get in touch.

PROSA/West
If you're self employed, unemployed, or employed by a private sector company west of the Great Belt, you automatically belong to PROSA/West.
PROSA/West works to represent your interests locally and is your easiest way to influence PROSA's activities and the services we provide to members.
The Executive Board is made up of dedicated volunteers who meet around once a month, combining in person meetings in Aarhus with online participation.
PROSA/West organises a wide range of IT related events, but we're even more interested in supporting initiatives created and led by our members. We can help with:
Administrative support, such as communicating with other members.
Access to our meeting facilities in Aarhus and Odense.
Food and refreshments for participants.
Covering costs for guest speakers.
Reimbursing your travel expenses.

PROSA/West invites all members to its Annual General Meeting, where every member has the right to vote.
Held each autumn, the meeting approves the Executive Board's annual report and the Action Plan for the coming year. It is also your opportunity to submit ideas, vote for your representatives on the Executive Board, or stand for election yourself.
In even numbered years, members attending the Annual General Meeting can also stand as delegates to PROSA's Delegate Assembly, the organisation's highest decision making body, where the most important decisions are made.

PROSA/East works to give members as much influence as possible over their working lives while safeguarding their interests within the union. As PROSA's largest local branch, we are committed to providing professional advice, a wide range of courses, and a strong focus on the IT profession.

At the meeting you can put forward your own ideas, vote for candidates to the Executive Board, or stand for election yourself. The Annual General Meeting approves the Executive Board's annual report and accounts, as well as the Action Plan and budget for the coming year.
